Scurion Simulator

{jumi simwscript_inc.html}test{/jumi}

This simulator behaves like a real lamp in work- and programming mode.

Have a look to the table below and try then yourself by clicking on the two arrows near to the trigger (above).

...or check the manual first for a detailed description

...or scroll down to our demo videos!

Wide angle LED (top left) and spot LED (bottom right)

LED strength is displayed by the number of arcs visible. No arc: off, 1-4 arcs represent settings 1-4

The knob does not rotate by a large amount: You can move it only a few degrees up or down, which in this graphic is simulated by pressing the up or down buttons
These five green (when lit) LEDs display battery strength and various other status info.
This icon indicates that transport lock is active.
This icon shows that the lamp is in programming mode.
This icon leads you to the config panel.
In the configuration panel, a number of options can be modified.
The preset array shows all presets that are stored, the one in the middle between the red triangles is currently active.
Select a scene which is displayed with the current lighting setting. See note below!

Note on scene photos

Demonstrating lighting in a photo is very difficult as the dynamic range of the human eye is huge: You can read a newspaper in full moon and full sunlight - an illumination range of 1:300000! A photo can show a range of perhaps 1:10. For that reason, each scene is scaled to full illumination at maximum setting, this means when the lamp is set at full power, the scene is fully illuminated. This is necessary as it is difficult showing the illumination range even then and makes comparing the absolute level of light between scenes impossible. The linear response of the camera exaggerates differences in illumination, lower levels seem much darker in the photo than in reality. The light distribution, however, is reproduced exactly. You can clearly see the difference of the narrow P4/P7 and wider Scurion® k spot.
